The Art of Citymaking
Glass Dome, Singapore · 2026, returning 2028
A one-day international festival on how cities evolve as places to live, connect and participate.
What the ground was
An international urban field arriving in Singapore for World Cities Summit week, with no festival of its own on how cities are actually lived in.
What was made
A one-day festival at the Glass Dome on 17 June 2026, shaped around three themes: Adaptive Neighbourhoods, Urban Software, and Placemaking and Legacy. Keynotes, panels, film and immersive experiences, convened by Leadership for Cities. Between editions the work continues through The Citymaking Circle and the Field Notes journal.
What changed
The day produced a standing community rather than a delegate list. One hundred and fifty members now convene across ASEAN and the Asia Pacific, and the festival returns to Singapore in June 2028.
